Angela’s 23-year legal career began as a commercial transactions lawyer in major Law Firms and in the Legal Departments of the world’s largest Non-Profit Organizations. In 2012, Angela was thrust in to the areas of Elder Law, and subsequently Probate Law, when she was called upon to serve as a Guardian for her terminally ill Father who had been the victim of elder abuse while living out of state in a nursing home. She encountered many challenges in this role from the courts, lawyers and other third parties who often appeared to be more concerned with their fees and expediency than advancing her Father’s interests. Angela soon realized she had a passion for Estate Planning, Elder and Probate Law. She began learning all that she could about these areas of the law so that she could best advocate on behalf of her Father. She drafted multiple pleadings and attended hearings on her Father’s behalf when it became clear that her Father’s court appointed attorney wasn’t going to intervene in the legal process in a timely and effective manner.

Since that time, Angela has developed a practice in the areas of Probate Administration, Wills and Trusts, Advance Medical Directives, Powers of Attorney, HIPAA Release Forms, and Guardianships and Conservatorships. She is a frequent attendee of continuing education classes and conferences in the areas of Elder Law, Probate Law and Estate Planning, including the NAELA Annual Conference and AICPA Conference on Advanced Estate Planning. She is deeply committed to treating each of her clients with the highest level of respect and diligently advancing their personal interests in a competent, compassionate, ethical and efficient manner. Angela especially enjoys getting to know her Clients and their objectives to ensure that she properly guides them through every step of the Estate Planning and/or Probate process.

In addition to practicing law, Angela is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the District of Columbia. She specializes in Estate Sales and excels at managing the many details involved with these sales thereby alleviating the stress of the Personal Representative. Angela and her team of skilled contractors can handle any staging, landscaping, junk removal, charitable donations of estate property, and repairs necessary to ensure the sale of the property at a price that maximizes the value of the Estate for the heirs.

Angela grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and has been a long-time resident of the Washington, D.C. area since attending college at American University where she graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She briefly resided in the Boston, Massachusetts area while attending Boston College Law School where she graduated in 1994 with a Juris Doctor degree. Angela is currently licensed to practice law in Ohio and the District of Columbia.

Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and business partner and their two children. In her spare time, she loves to plan events, attend concerts and plays, bike the monuments, and serve as a Room Parent.
